Европейският парламент гласува пета резолюция с призив за присъединяването на България и Румъния към Шенгенското пространство до края на 2023-та година. В полза на решението гласуваха 526-ма, 57 гласа бяха „против“ и 42 „въздържал се“.По-рано по време на дебат евродепутатите заявиха, че гражданите на България и Румъния са дискриминирани, защото се сблъскват със забавяния, бюрократични затруднения и допълнителни разходи, когато пътуват или правят бизнес в чужбина….
