Тазгодишните награди на ААРА бяха връчени днес в рамките на годишната конференция на Европол за престъпленията срещу интелектуалната собственост в Рим
Призът на отдел „Киберпрестъпност“-ГДБОП е за водещата им роля в изпълнението на европейския EMPACT приоритет „Престъпления срещу интелектуална собственост, фалшиви стоки и валута“. Наградата бе връчена на инспектор Александър Велев за работата му при ръководене на оперативната дейност срещу незаконната IPTV и незаконния стрийминг в рамките на приоритетите на EMPACT.
В своя коментар Шийла Каселс – изпълнителен вицепрезидент на AAPA, подчерта важността и ефективността от партньорството между частния сектор и правоохранителните органи. Като пример за това взаимодействие посочи съвместната работа с отдел „Киберпрестъпност“ при провеждането на множество операции през годините, както и провелото се обучение в София, в което взеха участие представители от 17 европейски държави, Европол и Интерпол.
Противодействието на престъпления против интелектуалната собственост, фалшиви стоки и пари е приоритет на ЕС в областта на правоприлагането и вътрешната сигурност. В тази връзка на европейско ниво е разработен план за действие срещу този вид престъпни посегателства, който се осъществява в рамките на Европейската мултидисциплинарна платформа за противодействие на престъпни заплахи (EMPACT). В платформата двадесет и четири държави-членки на ЕС и европейски агенции (сред които Европол, Фронтекс, Евроджъст, ОЛАФ и др.) работят съвместно на международно ниво за неутрализиране на посочените престъпни заплахи.
ГДБОП е ръководител на европейската група, която работи по линия на противодействие на престъпления против интелектуалната собственост, фалшиви стоки и пари.
