Руският президент Владимир Путин започна създаването на нова икономическа зона. Президентът Путин отбеляза, че авторитетът на БРИКС и влиянието им в света „непрекъснато се увеличават“. „Това е обективен процес, тъй като петте държави имат огромен политически, икономически, научен, технологичен и човешки потенциал“, каза Путин.
Според него съвременните предизвикателства и заплахи са комплексни и имат „транснационален характер“. Ръководството на страните от БРИКС в разработването на „обединяващ, положителен курс“ за формиране на многополюсен свят е търсено, убеден е Путин. БРИКС обединява ключови незападни центрове на сила и трябва да работи по-интензивно за създаване на световна резервна валута, за която президентът Путин говори предишния ден, за изграждане на нова архитектура на световния ред, преди всичко икономическа, която да не зависи от Запада “, отбелязва Суслов.
