Левовете и стотинките, които постепенно ще излязат от обращение, ще бъдат унищожавани, за да се предотвратят злоупотреби и измами чрез повторната им употреба.„Количеството на банкнотите в левове, които в момента са в обращение, е около 640 тона, което се равнява на приблизително 32 тира. Общото тегло на монетите пък достига 7700 тона – това са над 385 тира. Всички банкноти и монети, които бъдат изтеглени от обращение, ще бъдат унищожени“, разясни още през декември главният касиер на Българската народна банка Стефан Цветков….
