На 28 август 1943 година умира 49-годишният цар Борис Трети. Съгласно чл. 34 от Търновската конституция същия ден непълнолетният му син княз Симеон Търновски e провъзгласен за български цар под името Симеон Втори.Борис Климент Роберт Луи Станислас Ксавие, Княз Търновски, Херцог Саксонски и Принц Сакс-Кобург и Гота е син на цар Фердинанд І и на княгиня Мария Луиза и заема престола под името Борис Трети след абдикацията на баща му на 3 октомври 1918 г….
