Любимият на поколения българи актьор Тодор Колев е роден на 26 август 1939г. в Шумен. Завършва актьорско майсторство във ВИТИЗ „Кръстьо Сарафов“ (1965 г.).Работил е в театрите в Смолян (1965 – 1966), Шумен (1966 – 1967), Пловдив (1967 – 1969), в столичните „Сълза и смях“ (1969 – 1971) и театър „София“ (1972-1990).Участвал е в над 30 игрални филма, сред които „Цар и генерал“, „Козият рог“, „Иван Кондарев“, „Двойникът“, „Господин за един ден“, „Опасен чар“….
