Според публикация в сайта bitcoinist.com работещият в сектора на здравеопазването стартъп TimiDNA предлага не само защита на информацията, но и възможност потребителите да се разпореждат с нея и дори да я продават срещу печалба.
Чрез тестване на ДНК от TimiDNA, което ще бъде възможно през октомври, потребителите ще се окажат в напълно нова роля. На първо място данните им ще бъдат вписани в блокова верига и хората ще имат пълен контрол върху тях, вместо да се съхраняват от различни организации както сега. Освен това платформата TimiDNA не само ще позволява на потребителите да решават кой да има достъп до генетичния им код (например лекари), но ще позволява и да печелят от продажбата на тази информация. Разбира се, сделките ще стават с криптомонети – в случая TimiCoin.
„70% от печалбите, реализирани от продажбата на данни чрез платформата, ще отиват при потребителя, чийто генетичен код се продава“, казват от компанията, обяснявайки, че целта им е да доведат купувачите на ДНК данни до всеки потребител, който след това решава дали да продава или не.
Бъдещите планове на стартъпа пък включват създаването на международна здравна информационна борса, която да включва не само ДНК данни, но и друга медицинска информация.
